Sunny views & gentle paths – out and about on the Sunnseit circuit . by Holiday apartment Söll

Sometimes it’s the simple things that are particularly enjoyable – like a leisurely hike on the Sunnseit Runde in Söll. This family-friendly, easy circular hike is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy the magic of the Tyrolean landscape without a sporting challenge. Whether with children, a baby carriage or simply as a couple – here you can walk on the sunny side of life.

Start at the hiking starting point at the Franzlhof in Söll … very close to Appartement Haus Bergland. From there, the trail winds gently through the sunny hilly landscape around Söll – always accompanied by the impressive panorama of the Wilder Kaiser. With a length of 7.3 kilometers, 180 meters in altitude and a leisurely walking time of around 2:15 hours, the tour is ideal for a relaxing morning or afternoon in nature.

The journey is the reward – Sunnseit Runde in detail!

You hike along the edge of the forest to the Oberkollerhof – a small highlight along the Sunnseit loop.

Our tip – schnapps distillery:

The Oberkollerhof is the oldest hereditary farm in Söll and has been family-owned for over 800 years. The Koller family has been distilling fine wines here for generations, which you can not only taste on site, but also take home with you. A tour is possible by telephone arrangement with Fabian Koller on +43 (0) 664 1614011.

Continue towards Hochfilzer and through the picturesque Reiterdörfl. Turn right at the Klammerhof, pass the Obersteintal farm and finally reach the Hotel Alpenschlössl via the Steintal signpost.

Our tip – photo spot:

A short photo stop is worthwhile here! The view over the rolling hills as far as the Wilder Kaiser is simply magical.

Continue towards Badhaus and then along a forest path to the district of Ried before walking back towards Söll. Shortly before the end, the path takes you to the Pirchmoos chapel.

Our tip – myths & legends:

The Pirchmoos Chapel is a charming little church with an eventful history. It was built in 1896 after a pilgrimage to Lourdes – but an old legend in Tyrolean mythology tells of three peasant boys, a dark secret and the hope of forgiveness. A place to pause and marvel.

From the Pirchmoos chapel, the Sunnseit hiking trail leads you back to the Franzlhof in Söll, from where you can reach your holiday apartment in the charming Haus Bergland apartment in 3 minutes by car or approx. 16 minutes on foot.

And in culinary terms?
If you like to stop for a bite to eat, you will always find a nice opportunity for a little refreshment along the way.

For young & old – hiking tip on the Wilder Kaiser even with a baby carriage

The composition of the trail alternates between gravel and asphalt paths and is mostly suitable for baby carriages. Perfect for families with little explorers. Dogs are also welcome on this tour (please keep them on a lead).

This is how you get there:

From your holiday apartment at Appartement Haus Bergland, you can reach the village center of Söll in just a few minutes on foot. From there, you can reach the Franzlhof in around 10 minutes on foot. For those who prefer to drive: There is free parking at the Franzlhof.

Our summary of the Sunnseit tour on the Wilder Kaiser:

The Sunnseit loop is a magical circular hike with gentle climbs, wonderful views and lots of little moments of happiness along the way. Especially recommended in spring and fall to enjoy the warm Tyrolean sun, visit a small schnapps distillery and immerse yourself in the world of Tyrolean legends. And, of course, to fall in love with nature, the Wilder Kaiser and beautiful Söll.

We at Appartement Haus Bergland, your holiday apartment in Söll, wish you lots of fun hiking!
